Femmes d’Espérance (Women of Hope) is an initiative born in 2018. However, it has a history of several years. Initially conceived as a television program, some steps had been taken to try and spread a message of hope in the female community of the great lakes region of Africa. This project was called Ladies First.
The main objective was to contribute to intercultural and inter-generational dialogue between women. Although this project did not succeed, it left a major imprint that later generated ‘Femmes d’Espérance’.
The two projects have in common the desire to shed light on the person of the African woman, her talents, aspirations but also her contradictions. Emphasizing training and personal development, Femmes d’Espérance seeks to empower, equip, train, promote and celebrate women. Thus, bringing women together around the same goal (which is to convey a message of hope) is the spirit that drives Femmes d’Espérance.

Femmes d’Espérance is first and foremost a network. It is an initiative that aims to bring together women of African descent and from all denominations wherever they are located to celebrate their talents.
Femmes d’Espérance is based on values of faith and Christian teachings.
Femmes d’Espérance is a light in society. It is a means through which we participate in the spiritual, social and economic life in order to contribute to the countries where we live through concrete actions. It is also a way to attract visibility to female entrepreneurship.
Femmes d’Espérance is made up of women from various professional backgrounds including, hairdressing, sewing, finance, logistics, medical, research, education and journalism to only name a few. It is from all this wealth that we believe women can use their skills and talents to solve the problems of society through innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.
Women who fear the Lord and walk in their destiny change the world!
