Christian affirmations on self-esteem

Since our last broadcast, which streamed on Mother’s Day 2021, I kept on thinking about the different points that Clementine Ingabire raised in her ‘Walk with God to accomplish your destiny talk’. Then, as I was meditating I felt led to share these few verses with all you wonderful women struggling with self esteem.

It is not easy to come forward and say I have self esteem issues. Yet we all suffer from this at some point in our lives. For some, root cause is closely linked to body image; for others toxic relationships with parents or lovers killed it for them… whatever the reason may be, I just want you to know that the Bible made provision for you.

Short testimony: as an undergrad student I struggled a lot with my academic performance until I understood the power of declarations and memorizing God’s word. I would repeat God’s truth about my intellectual capability and my usefulness to the Kingdom regularly. I made it part of my morning meditation and it made huge difference with lasting impact.

So, whatever you are going through today, here are some affirmations that can help you rebuild your self esteem based on the word of God. If you need to write them down on post-its, your prayer journal, put them on the wall in front of your desk or simply memorize them… Go FOR IT!

All this to say that the success of your growth project (studies, entrepreneurship, career) depends on work and faith. Faith, as we know, comes from hearing, that is hearing from the word of Christ (Romans 10:17)
